The past week and a bit have been pretty interesting for me. I am potentially in a bit of a manic state, but I am using meditation to keep me grounded. I have also decided to be more diligent about my diet. I have become a calorie counter! In order to help me do this, I have joined My Fitness Pal, an online community and method of tracking exercise and food. Here is my profile. It is actually pretty awesome. It is way better than FitDay.com because it is super easy to use and because you have the community support. It’s like Facebook for people who workout and keep track of nutrition!
I have been following the IronFit triathlon book, 30-week training guide and have been really enjoying it. I love checking off my workouts and being all organized with my index cards of swim workouts (in a bag of course). I’m kind of a nerd that way.
This past weekend was a long weekend. I literally had a mountain of laundry. I wish I had a maid that would do laundry and clean my house for free. And it will only get worse as Ironman gets closer. It will be an interesting 6 months coming up!
