40 Day Challenge One Month Update

The other day I kind of cheated on the 40-day exercise challenge that I have been doing. I weighed myself. I’ve been feeling pretty good about getting out or just doing some kind of exercise every day. It turns out that I lost 2 pounds. It was nice to see that, but I won’t weigh myself for a while longer.

It’s been 4 weeks since I started this and I have been pretty consistent. Some days, like I said before, I have done very little, but at least it is something. I do SOME kind of exercise every day. Sometimes it’s more intense than others, but it’s always something.

I’ve bailed out of a race that I was going to do this weekend. I feel kind of bad about it; I’ve had so much going on with the move and new job that real training has been non-existent. As things in my life settle down I will get my training going to prepare for Ironman Coeur d’Alene.

One way I’m getting my training going is by hiring a coach! I’m very excited about this. Her name is Beth Lamie, the coach of Team Pegasus elite athlete management, and I feel very lucky to be taken on as an athlete with her. She is experienced with triathletes and she might even come to the race! She’s vegan-friendly and coaches some awesome athletes.

I also have a new project that I’m working on getting going. I’m going to announce it on August 1, 2013. As a hint I’m going to tell you that it’s going to start as a Kickstarter campaign! Kickstarter is coming to Canada and I’m going to get going on a campaign to fund this project. Of course, it will relate to my journey as a vegan Ironman. I’ll give it a good go anyway!
