It Starts Right Here, Right Now

My pride and joy!

I don’t really know how to start this post. My intentions are always so good, follow-through sometimes isn’t. This post will focus on my good intentions. I have done lots of planning and processing in my head in preparation for the next 8 months. I’m preparing for lots of training, lots of sleep and lots of eating. I think I have created a pretty good plan and schedule. Calendars are super important to me. I’m talking about physical calendars. We have a calendar on the fridge that we literally look at many times a day. Does Josh have hockey? Let … Keep reading

Make Plans, Achieve Goals

Make goals, make plans

It is the beginning of January, the time of promises and good intentions. I like to make plans. I’m very good at making plans, I’m not very good at executing plans. So what is my plan? I feel really great and I think I’m going to keep going with most of it, except for caffeine. With the medication that … Keep reading

Swollen Foot Collage

On Tuesday night I gave my foot a massage and thought it would be fine. Yesterday I did yoga in the morning and it was bugging me all day when I was walking. Last night I was giving my feet a massage and found the spot that was sore – between the big and second toe right at the base of the toes on the bottom of the foot. When I was done … Keep reading

The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions

Yesterday my good intention was to complete one bike workout for the week, but I only got through half before I cut it short to head to yoga. Yoga was definitely my priority yesterday because I have been having some neck problems lately in the form of a neck headache that lasted almost 3 days. I went to the chiropractor to get it adjusted and he said it was a little swollen at the top of my neck. I’ve been icing and stretching and it has gotten better, but it was a wake-up call for me to continue with my … Keep reading
